AUTH/LOGIN
Hybridley has several methods of logging into your event site. Based on your needs, you will choose one of these three options.
SECURITY TYPES
- Low Security – No Password
No Password allows for quick access to the event by allowing your attendees to simply type in their email address to get into the event site.
- Medium Security – Global Password
The global password option allows you to add a single password for your attendees to have access to the site, providing more security if you so choose.
- High Security – Individual Password
The individual password option allows your attendees to create their own password, providing a much higher security measure. If the password is forgotten, the attendee can click the “forgot your password” button on the login page.
The “use Email for registration” button
The “use Email for registration” button is defaulted to on. Hybridley’s default tracking is done through email. If you wish to use a different field on the login page, you can do that by disabling this button. More to come on this in a detailed tutorial, so, if you are a beginner, let’s leave this enabled by default. You can change it later.
The “require registration” button
The “require registration” button is as it sounds, like most event portals we have a registration page and a login page. By default, this is enabled to allow for a registration page. This is good for events where you send the registration out before an event starts. If you disable the button, the attendee can bypass registration and go straight into the site. Their email will still be captured in the database, allowing tracking and can be helpful for events where you may not need to collect additional information from the attendee.
The limit seats button
The limit seats button is defaulted to a single seat. (do we want this to be two) It limits each user to a single login at any given time. An attendee can switch devices; however, if they do, they will be logged out of the old device. This is only editable by contacting Hybridley Support. Please email us at support@hybridley.com, and we can review your case.
ALLOWLIST
An Allowlist is a cybersecurity strategy that approves a list of domain names while denying all others.
For example, if you only want to allow attendees with your company email address, you would hit the plus button and type in your company domain name here. Anyone attempting to access or register with a different domain will not be allowed. This additional option applies to all three authentication choices made in the previous section. Please note: this option is not required; if you don’t want to use this feature, simply click next.
